I’m a high school junior with an interest in advocacy and nonprofit efforts, especially centered around girls’ education and political representation both in the U.S. and in developing countries. After living in India from 2007 to 2012, I consider myself a Third Culture Kid who will never truly leave her heritage behind but is not any less American for it. I am a 2016 HERlead (formerly ANNpower) Fellow and Grantee, and I use my passion and experiences to fuel my work on the Day of The Girl-US Action Team and Plan International USA Youth Advisory Board, and I plan to pursue a career related to the issues these organizations address. I may be young, but I’m more than ready to take action, and I want to encourage others my age to do the same through Millennials In Action.
