My name is Nico, a sophomore studying at Harvard College! I was born in Washington, D.C. to a mother of Uruguayan descent and a father of Italian descent, but moved to Canton, CT before starting grade school. My interests include music, where I am a member of the Harvard Glee Club and Harvard Jazz Band, and sports, as I am a big soccer fan. Academically, I am studying Molecular and Cellular Biology and Economics, although I have always loved Philosophy. I like to spend my free time reading, hanging out with friends and watching bad movies! In addition, I have forever been a dedicated political and social activist, as I think speaking one’s mind and opinions is the most productive way to bring about the change we want to see. Especially now in the United States, it is important to speak out, respect facts, and fight for the best path forward for all of us. In the future, I hope to pursue a career in biotechnology or public health, but I also desire a safe country where LGBTQ+ individuals and people of all colors and nationalities can fulfill their full potential.
